Schweizer Heilgestein
It is known that mineral clays are beneficial to the skin by absorbing excess sebum and drawing out impurities. They have a natural calming, anti-inflammatory effect on the skin, helping with healing and moisturising.
The Schweizer Heilgestein is extracted in Würenlos (AG) and is particularly gentle product which contains among other things, 73% calcium carbonate and approx. 27% silicic acid in the form of quartz and other compounds (feldspar, mica) and clay-like minerals such as illite, montmorillonite.
Is it sustainable?
As the clay is extracted in Würenlos in Canton Aargau the travel distance to where I buy and use it in Aarau could hardly be smaller. Unfortunately from my research I can’t learn about how AIONA is extracted and how sustainable it is. I will update here as soon as I can!
